Garment care instructions

Handcrafted pieces deserve careful hands. Every IBF piece is handcrafted from delicate, high-quality fabrics. Proper care ensures your lingerie retains its shape, color, and character — wear after wear.

Washing

  • Hand wash only in cool or lukewarm water
  • Use a gentle, pH-neutral detergent or lingerie wash
  • Do not machine wash. Agitation damages delicate lace, tulle, and embroidery
  • Wash dark and light pieces separately
  • Do not soak for extended periods

Drying

  • Gently press out excess water — do not wring or twist
  • Hang dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight
  • Do not tumble dry — heat weakens elastic and distorts structure
  • Reshape cups and straps while damp to retain form

Storage

  • Store folded flat or in a dedicated drawer. Do not compress under heavy items
  • Do not hang bras by the straps for extended periods; this stretches the fabric
  • Keep away from sharp objects, jewellery, and rough surfaces that can snag lace
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from humidity

General

  • Do not iron directly on embroidery, lace, or mesh. If pressing is needed, use a cool iron with a cloth barrier
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not dry clean
  • Apply perfume, body oil, and skincare before dressing — direct contact with certain products can degrade delicate fabrics over time
  • Always fasten your bra on the loosest clasp when it's new. Bra bands are designed to stretch gradually with wear and washing. Starting on the loosest hook gives you room to tighten over time as the band relaxes

Your IBF piece was made with intention. A little care goes a long way in preserving something beautiful.
